A staple SLED program is our Teacher Mini-Grants. These grants allow teachers, who know what they need to augment their classroom experiences, to request supplies, transportation, or other support to make project-based learning come alive in their classrooms.
Mini-grants can also be used for field trips to support classroom learning, school-wide projects, and so much more.
Some highlights this year were a service-learning project at Jefferson Elementary, a ‘Shark Tank’ entrepreneurship project at Garfield Elementary, field trips at John Muir and Bancroft middle schools plus San Leandro and Lincoln High.
